Two Days Workshop on BRGF Plan Uploading

National Centre for Human Settlements and Environment, Bhopal organized a two day i.e.1st and 2nd June’2009 Workshop on BRGF Plan Uploading at Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. The workshop is sponsored by UNICEF, Bhopal and supported by Zila Panchayat, Shivpuri and NIC, Shivpuri. The objectives of the workshop were to spread awareness on BRGF Programme; De-centralized Planning Process and Utilization of PlanPlus Software. A total of 37 participants from all janpad panchayats and town areas attended the workshop. The first day of the workshop was focused on theory session where participants were given lessons on the ins and outs of the BRGF Programme; De-centralized Planning; Work Flow and Presentation of PlanPlus Software. The second day was devoted to hands-on session on the software where the participants entered the plan of their respective village panchayats of the district.
At the beginning of the workshop, Shri H.B.Dwavedi, ADPI, NCHSE, delivered the welcome speech and the event was formally inaugurated by Shri R.K.Mishra, CEO Zila Panchayat in the presence of Shri K.K.Sharma, District Project Officer; Ms.Ragini Trivedi, Project Officer (BRGF); District Planning Officer; Shri M.K.Sharma, NIC Bhopal and and participants from all janpad panchayats; DUDA and Line Departments of the district. District Planning Officer, Shivpuri spoken on De-centralized Planning Process at grass-root level; Ms.Ragini Trivedi shared her views on BRGF Programme and Shri M.K. Sharma explained the salient features and objectives of PlanPlus software.
During the hands-on session, the participants prepared village panchayat level plan of their respective janpad panchayats of the district by using the PlanPlus software in the presence of Project Officer (BRGF) and NCHSE, Bhopal.
The workshop has been
appreciated by CEO, Zila Panchayat, Shivpuri; NCHSE, Bhopal and all
participants.
The session ended with
concluding remarks and vote of thanks by Shri H.B.Dwavedi, NCHSE, Bhopal.
